Lunchtime sketches at Welney bird reserve
I had a busy time of lectures at Welney Wildfowl trust, but at luchtime there was still some spare time to get out onto the reserve and sketch a few birds and the general sceneWelney is a Wildfowl Trust bird reserve in the Cambridgeshire Fens. I was there yesterday for some lectures from well known professional wildlife photographers (see here for some tips I picked up which equally apply to artists) - Danny Green, Phil Malpas, David Ward and Charlie Hamilton James.
There was a bit of spare time though so I ventured out to the reserve to do some sketches. I managed three quick visual notes. And a photograph! Here's the very short video I put together of my short walk to sketch at lunchtime:
